Uncovering Creativity in a Labyrinth ~ REALLY!!

I'm lovin' the research i am taking on for the Labyrinth Art 'Play'shop...on May 27th!
It is going to be an intriguing creativity workshop combining art with walking a Labyrinth! I have been working with Celia, a Labyrinth guide, to provide an unusual and fascinating afternoon from which you will go home inspired and with a new tool for waking up your creativity!

I found a Master's thesis on-line which delves into how walking a labyrinth impacts our creativity...Stay tuned!! And mark your calendars!
Time: 1-4pm
Cost is $65.00
Location: the Scarborough Bluffs United Church

"First, I documented my thoughts – either in the moment with greater
production, or after the fact, with benefit of incubation.  Second, I went in
with one state of mind each time; either derived from an inspired curiosity
or a less than resourceful feeling I found myself in.  Each time I came out
feeling better, with a broadened perspective on the situation I took in, a
sense of excitement about the possibilities I had uncovered, and a greater
sense of calm and order.

In the future, whether as an aspiring writer or in any other context, I’ll
more than likely take into the labyrinth my guide, a pen, a whack of mini
post-its and the intention to apply deliberate creativity.  The insights from
deliberate creativity, coupled with the time-space experience of the
labyrinth are too great to leave to chance for remembering.  And, having
the ability to go back and review what gets documented, to find emerging
thoughts, to understand the influence of a passing thought, to mine the
context over time, to revel in the order that leaps from the chaos, is
tremendously rewarding and inspiring to me. "

Art Journaling Playtime

Lori and I explored what is possible
with......

~ color stamp pads ~ bags of interesting words
 ~ japanese papers ~
gold ~ silver
guache paints ~ brushes
calligraphy markers
PLUS...plus..

A great array of papers to play with.
...it was challenging to stop and store them away

I found some awesome stamps and ink pads..
at the Paper Place on Queen St West..

Creating around the table with tea.

'Mellifluous ~ Goddess ~ Flower'...
My interesting words that I pulled from Lori's Magic bag of words.

Here's the definition of MELLIFLUOUS
1
: having a smooth rich flow <a mellifluous voice>
2
: filled with something (as honey) that sweetens

Lori's words: 'Plenty ~ Playful ~ Love'
